Most of the time, I talk about ways that you can make money online.
But whether you haven’t gotten your business to that point yet, or are just looking for more ways to put money in your pocket, you might be interested in knowing about this.
One way to have more money is to spend less.
Ebates lets you do just that.
You shop like you normally do online, but go through their website first. When you go through their site, you’ll get a percentage back of what you shop.
The percentages vary depending on the store, and the day.
For example, right now if you shop at the Lord & Taylor website, you’ll get 6% cash back on whatever you spend. So if you bought something and spend $200, you’d get $12 cash back.
It doesn’t sound like a lot, but it really does add up. I’ve already gotten back $442.75 (see my screenshot above.)
Granted, I’ve been a member since 2003 – but I don’t always remember to use Ebates unfortunately. If you don’t want to have my problem, you can install something for your browser so you’ll automatically be reminded when there is cash back.
What’s great is that they have deals on all sorts of categories. If you spend money on books, clothes, travel, electronics, food, toys, etc… you can get money back.
I didn’t realize until recently, but you can even go into your history and see how much cash back you got and when you go it!
I was thrilled back in March when I got $25 back for booking airline tickets through KLM. You never find discounts or coupons for airfare…so it was awesome to be able to get something – anything back.
I end up needing a new laptop every few years. For every laptop I’ve gone through Ebates, giving me cash back. It sure makes me feel better to get something back.
There are some purchases you have to make no matter what. You can hope for a sale, but sometimes there isn’t one when you need it. Whether the item is on sale or not, no problem, you’ll get the stated cash back based on how much you spend.
If that wasn’t good enough, it looks like they just added being able to get cash back in store as well.
How do they manage that? You go to the Ebates site, enter your credit card details, and then choose which deals you want, and which credit card. Then you go to the store, use that CC, and you’ll get cash back.
There are some things I like to buy in store instead of online, such as clothes since I want to try them on.
It’s always frustrated me that I can’t get cash back…so I’m really excited that now you’ll be able to. My guess is the stores will change each month, but I definitely shop at some of the stores that are in the list right now, so I’m excited.

Almost any store you can think of has cash back through Ebates. You name it, they’re there. And while some are just 1% or 2% cash back, others go pretty high! Plus you’ll also see coupons and other sales as well, making it even easier to save money.
