Want an Easy Share Button, Pop-Up Email Box, plus Get More Traffic – all for Free?

SumoMe

It’s Saturday, and while I normally take the weekends off, I had the house to myself so I thought I’d get a few hours of work done on a new product I’m working on.

Of course, one thing leads to another (you know how it is…) and I came across SumoMe. SumoMe is a set of tools (you can use some of them for free), and I decided now was the time to try it.

After about 15 minutes, I was having so much fun I realized I wanted to share it with you, so I made a quick video going through some of the different things I’d found so far.

So here’s a video showing you some of the cool things I found – all free – that you can do with Sumo.

I apologize ahead of time if I sound a bit too excited – I did go to an Engineering school and love all things tech…so seeing these cool things that I could do with a click of a button really excited me.

It’s about 8 minutes long and shows 3 of the free features in SumoMe – Discover, List Builder, and Share.

Here’s a link if you want to check it out. Again, everything I showed you above is free. I haven’t paid yet, and want to finish checking out what’s free first.

In case you can’t watch the video right now, I’ll give you a quick description of what I found out. You can easily see 2 of the things on this page, and the third depending on if you’re on my list already or not.

Here’s what I added to my site just a little while ago with SumoMe – and it took no coding at all. It took seconds (ok, maybe 2 minutes for one of them) to set them up.

  1. List Builder – This helps you add a pop-up that will get people to sign up to your list. It shows up after they’ve been on your site for a little bit. It took me about 15 seconds to set this up – of course I already knew what I wanted to say…but even if you didn’t, it doesn’t take long. Then you can easily connect it to your autoresponder, and people who sign up will automatically be added to your list! It looks really professional.
  2. Share – This makes it really easy to share a post on your site to any social media outlet you want – Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, even Reddit or to an email address! It’s not intrusive at all, which is what I like best about it.
  3. Discover – This is the coolest one of all (that I’ve tried so far.) You know how at the bottom of articles on CNN you’ll see “You May Also Like…” with a bunch of articles that are similar to what they just read? Well, this is a 2 way street. First, it adds this to the bottom of your articles. Don’t worry, you can choose the category. But the cool part is that you can then choose what page you want to send people to, and YOUR post will start showing up at the bottom of other people’s “You May Also Like…!” How cool is that?

I’m really excited to see how my traffic increases, as well as how much bigger my list gets. I love that they make it so easy to track…so I’ll know exactly how much these things do for my business.

I’ll write another post in a week or so once I have some updates to give you.
