I know everyone tells you “build your list” like it’s some magical thing you can do to earn more.
Well…if you do it right, it kind of IS.
Yes, if you’re trying to get someone to an opt-in page by using SEO on your website, you’re right. It will take a long time to build your list unless you already get a lot of traffic.
That’s why I buy solo ads.
I don’t spend a lot…but it really builds my list fast.
For example, my most recent solo ad cost me $38 for 100 clicks. That means that it doesn’t matter how many emails the person I bought it from had to send out…I would get 100 people to my squeeze page, offering a free report (most of the time solo ads have to go to something free.)
Since this solo ad just started, I don’t have any results for you yet. But over the past, depending on the squeeze page, I’ve gotten 35% of the people to sign up, and often more.
Now, you might not like the idea of having to spend money to get people on your list, which is why I try to always make the money back right away – by bringing people to a special offer after they sign up. Of course it’s up to them…but if you offer something inexpensive, you only need a few sales to make up the cost of the solo ad, and then it was like you got them on your list for free!
It doesn’t even need to be a product of yours…you can find a good affiliate offer, and send them there after they sign up. Let them know why they should care. If it’s something that helped you, you can tell them, “This product helped me add $5,000 to my bottom line last year.” or whatever else the product really did help you with. Obviously you want to be honest – as you want them to trust you.
Solo ads are a great way to get a lot of people on your list at once though, without spending too much. If you’ve decided list building is what you want to do (and you really should, no matter what type of Internet Marketer you are), solo ads can really help!

What I like best about them is that it’s free to sign up, and you can easily search who you want to buy solo ads from. I really like looking at the reviews. Not only can you see if people liked them and how many clicks they got (sometimes they give you extra clicks, which is awesome!) but you can also find out if people have gotten sales from their solo ad. I love being able to check for that. All of it makes it a lot easier for me to choose who to buy solo ads from.
