Sometimes, rewarding yourself for finishing a task can help you get it done faster.
Especially if you really want the reward.
Say you’re hungry, and were eyeing some cookies.
Instead of having the snack now, tell yourself that when you finish the task you’re working on, you can have them.
I guarantee you won’t procrastinate. You’ll work hard on that task, so that you can get it done and get your cookies.
This can work with a lot of different things. Say you’re addicted to Facebook.
Well, instead of checking it whenever you want, tell yourself you have to get tasks A B and C done before you can check it. Or you have to spend 1 hour working on the specific task if it’s something that’s going to take a long time to complete.
Make sure you give yourself something to work towards. It’ll help you focus on getting the task done.
