If you’re on a lot of email lists, you’ve probably seen a lot of emails lately bashing PayPal. Now don’t get me wrong…if they had frozen or canceled my account, I’d be one of the ones bashing them! But since my account is still open, I won’t go as far as calling them evil.
But…
It does have me thinking. I definitely don’t want my account getting canceled or frozen. I am a part of a lot of affiliate programs where I get instant PayPal commissions whenever I sell a product. You probably are to.
So what can we do?
Well, there are a few things out there. But it seems the main thing is to not get as many payments from individual buyers in PayPal. So you’re better off getting one payment every once in a while, then getting payments every hour.
Also, getting paid in other ways (checks, right into your bank account, etc…) is very helpful, since if there is nothing going into your PayPal account, it can’t be frozen or canceled.
Am I worried? Not so much. I will definitely be diversifying where payments go, but I am not going to stop using PayPal completely. There are too many affiliate programs out there that only pay that way!
