Have a Set Routine

When you’re ready to relax, have a set routine.

It will help tell your body (and mind) that it’s time to relax.

For example, when you’re done with work, change from your work clothes to more comfortable clothes. Or when you’re done working, go for a walk.

You can also do this before bedtime. If every night before you go to sleep, you take a nice warm bath and then brush your teeth, or smell lavender and listen to music before going to bed, it will help.

It doesn’t really matter what the routine is or when you do it, but if you get into a set routine, after a while your body and mind will know that after you do this it’s time to relax…and it will be easier for you to relax at that time.
