Over the past few days, I’ve been spending most of my time working on some of my affiliate sites. Now is a great time to update products in certain niches. You might think that it’s January, and no one is spending any money now that the holiday season is over.
So if you’re an affiliate marketer…what should you be promoting right now?
The good news is that there are a few types of things that are doing well right now.
The first is all about New Year’s Resolutions.
It’s still early enough in the year that people are trying to better themselves. They’re trying to get in shape, lose weight, and be healthier. So you can promote anything in those niches, and people will appreciate it.
I mentioned on Tuesday that I’d give you some specific examples…and so here are not only some niches that are great to promote now, but some specific programs that should do well too. While I mention some of the affiliate networks that they’re in, it’s by no means an exhaustive list, so feel free to see if they are a part of another network as well if you prefer another one.
All of the companies I mention are either a part of the Commission Junction network or FlexOffers. There are others, but it turns out these are the ones I use the most, as most of the companies I promote are a part of one or both of them.
As far as fitness and getting in shape, you can promote things that directly help, like gym memberships, workout videos, exercise equipment, and more. You can also promote things that help get you there, like clothing to wear while exercising, vitamins, health food, and more. Here are a few companies you can promote:
Beachbody on Demand is a great thing to promote right now. If you don’t know their products, they offer a ton of workouts, and it’s just $99 for the year. Plus you can offer people a 14-day free trial, so they can try it out first to make sure they like it. I personally subscribe, so I often tell people what workouts I like doing, and why. They’re offered in both Commission Junction as well as FlexOffers.
Lululemon is a well known exercise apparel company. Since people already like to shop there, it isn’t hard to convince people to check out the site. Also, since many of the items are on the more expensive side, you’ll make more in commission. They’re in FlexOffers.
Thrive Market is a membership site that sells organic and non-gmo foods, and at this time of year especially, they do well. You get paid when someone signs up for a membership.
This was just meant to start giving you some ideas. You can promote vitamins, weight loss products, athletic wear, etc… at Amazon, Target, Reebok, VitaCost and so many other places!
The other big thing right now? Well, Valentine’s Day is just under a month away now!
So anything related to that is going to do well over the next month. Jewelry (engagement rings in particular), chocolates, flowers, fancy dinners, and more will do well.
Here are a few examples:
Kay Jewelers / Zales / Jared (they’re all owned by the same company) are jewelry stores that are all over the country and sell a lot of jewelry for Valentine’s Day. They’re in Commission Junction and FlexOffers.
Ghirardelli Chocolate – Another brand that is very well known, they don’t have their Valentine’s Day chocolates up yet, but I’m sure they will soon. There are also many other chocolate companies out there, such as Godiva, Lindt and more.
Harry & David (or any of their companies, The Popcorn Factory, Cheryl’s Cookies, and more.) are all really great different ideas for Valentine’s day, and not the same old chocolates and flowers. They’re all in FlexOffers.
