When I Can’t Think of Something to Promote (Disney+ Anyone?)

How is your first full week of the year going? Hopefully you know what you want to work on, and are getting the time to work on it. But if not…hopefully this will help.

On Thursday I sent an email to my list suggesting that they should be promoting more if they want to earn more. It makes sense. The more offers you have out there, the more chances you have to earn. It doesn’t matter if they’re your own products or affiliate products, and really, you should have both.

But what if you want to promote something and can’t come with anything? I know that in business there is nothing worse than just staring at a blank screen!

Here are 2 things I do when I want to promote something but have no clue what I want to promote. It ALWAYS helps me come up with an idea, and I always have a new post up just a short time later.

  1. Look at what you bought recently. Is there anything that stands out? Did you love the new electronics product you just bought? Did you get a great toy for your child? Even buy a nice sweater that you really like? What if you just finally saw that movie that everyone else loved. You can post about any of these things, even if they’re not in your niche. People love to hear what others like. And let’s face it. No matter what niche you’re in, these people (most likely) still use electronics, have kids who play with toys, wear clothes, watch movies, etc… They’re great to promote because you can be specific about what you liked and didn’t like!
  2. I go to an affiliate network and look up affiliate programs. Recently, I’ve been checking out FlexOffers when I do this. They have a lot of big companies and keep getting more.I got an email from them yesterday morning that says you can promote Disney+ through them now! You know as well as I do how big Disney+ is, and how people keep joining every day. Now you can earn even if someone just gets a free trial! I’m sure if you tell people what you like about it (if you have it) or why you’re thinking of getting it (maybe list some movies or tv show’s you want to watch?) it might convince people who were thinking about joining to finally pull the trigger and join.

Now of course this is just one of many many affiliate programs they have. But just going through the list of what programs they offer can give you a suggestion. Maybe you’ll see that you can promote Macy’s which reminds you of the (fill in the blank here) you bought a few months ago and loved. Or maybe you’ll see an affiliate program for stock photos and that will remind you that having great photos on your website makes people stay on your blog longer, and you’ll want to write a post about it and promote one of them.

You can come up with an unlimited number of ideas of what to post about just by looking at what affiliate programs are out there!

Here’s the obligatory – You should never pay to apply to an affiliate network or affiliate program. They pay you! If you are interested in signing up for FlexOffers, here’s a link.
