Today was the first day of posting after a long weekend, and it’s also the first time I was behind in my posts.
On Friday I purposely wrote not only a post for Friday, but for Saturday and Sunday as well as I don’t usually work on the weekends. I just didn’t have time to write one for Monday, so I figured that on Monday I’d just spend a few minutes and write a post for day 5.
Well…that never happened. But that’s OK. You don’t have to be perfect. No one is. So this morning, I wrote a post for day 5, and then for today, day 6. No big deal. Now I’m all caught up and hope to stay that way for the rest of the month.
So know that if you get behind, don’t think “oh no, I didn’t post enough, I might as well stop now.” Definitely don’t do that! Just think of it this way. Maybe there were some people that stopped by and saw that you weren’t up to date. A lot of them will probably just think that you were doing it later in the day, or that you’re on a different time zone. Those are the only people who will even know you were behind!
Anyone that catches the blog series the next day or any day after that won’t even know that you missed a day (or two) and it’ll look great. So even if you get behind, you should catch up and make sure you stay a bit ahead if you can, so that this won’t happen again.
My goal is over the next few days to get 2 extra posts done, so that Friday I don’t have to worry about doing 3 again, and then I’m all set for the weekend.
How does it feel to have hopefully 6 posts up in a row now? If you’re posting them on social media too, hopefully you’re starting to get more traffic from it too!
Get posting!
Enjoy,
This post is part of a One Blog Post a Day Challenge! Hopefully by the end of the month you’ll have 31 new blog posts, more traffic, more engagement, and more income too!
