Time to Start Planning for 2016

Plan For 2016

It’s that time of year. Everyone is talking about how 2015 is almost over, and 2016 is almost here.

Are you ready for it?

Are you planning to make sure you succeed?

If you haven’t started figuring out what you’re going to do in 2016 yet, this is the perfect time.

You’re finishing up this year, and still have a few weeks to figure out where you want to be a year from now.

If you haven’t thought about that yet either, again, now is the time to start.

I have a confession to make.

I didn’t get a lot of the things done that I wanted to this year.

I am 99.9% sure it’s because of my lack of planning.

While I did use a planner (that I LOVE), I didn’t use it enough. I would have a few things written down for each day, but I didn’t plan far enough in the future.

On Monday morning I’d write down what I wanted to do that week, and was usually very vague. I’d write “newsletter” 3 times a week for the email that I wanted to send out to my lists. I’d write IM post for the Internet Marketing posts I wanted to do.

But that was about it. And because of it, while I usually got the things on my list done, I didn’t get anywhere near where I wanted to for the year.

So what did I learn?

That planning is VERY important. I get the things done that I put on my list, especially if I’m very specific about what I write.

So I am getting ready to plan now, and will be spending a portion of each day planning for 2016 until I’m finished, which better be before the year is over.

I want to know EXACTLY what I plan on doing, so that I actually accomplish these things, and am not in the same position next year.

As I’m planning, I’ll share what’s been working, and what hasn’t. I’ll talk about how I’m going to create my plan, and hopefully it will help you too.

If nothing else, please take this piece of advice with you: Have a plan. If you don’t, you won’t get anywhere next year. If you know what you want to do, you’ll get it done.
